Call for Research

This is an ongoing call for ceramic researchers who are digging deep into questions about ceramics and how it relates to our broader world.

We are looking for artists, teachers, researchers and enthusiasts of clay, who want to lead critical, collective conversations about the ever-changing dynamics of our field.

How to Apply

Compile a single PDF with the following:

  • Name, Email Address, Website

  • CV or resume

  • description of the proposed topic (one or two paragraphs)

  • some of the unanswered questions you want to collectively explore

  • 10 images of your work

  • optional: any writing / publications / papers you’ve written in relation to the topic

  • optional: publications others have written that relate to the topic, which could be used as resources for participants

Deadline

Though this is an ongoing call for research, we have seasonal deadlines twice a year.

January 31 for an April - June State of Ceramics and July 31 for a September - December State of Ceramics.
